Advance C5235 jam error 1C040

I am working on this machine and this jam error keeps popping up occasionally during the day. I had removed the staple cartridge a couple of months ago and that seem to take care of it, but yesterday they called again for jamming and when I looked in the log it was the 1C40 code again. It keeps referring to the S14 sensor but I can't find it in the book. I installed new system software yesterday also. BTW it's the Inner Finisher. Is there a tech pub on this?

Inner Finisher-A1 jam code 1C40.
Problem :

During boot up, the finisher tray would lower to the bottom and click several times. When the boot up screen was complete, the display would ask to open the right side door and remove paper, there is no paper. The jam history will display the jam code 1C40 with no location or other indications. When the right door was closed, the finisher tray would raise to normal and work properly, until the unit was rebooted.

Solution :

Found that the cable connecting the tray to the main finisher body was contacting a white cover as it lowered. Repaired the jam problem by rerouting the cable to avoid the rear cover.

Check the sensor flag (item #6) in the diagram below.

When the flag wobbles on the shaft due to wear the two height sensors will not properly actuate on time.
An improper actuation results in tray not moving.

Replace as a set the sensor flag and paper detect lever shaft.

Try updating firmware as well to the latest version.
