- Is it a cold or damp environment?
- How high are your PM yields on things like the K drum and dev, ITB, ITB cleaning, Fixing etc?
- Knowledge not shared, is eventually knowledge that becomes lost... like tears in the rain.

Monochrome only? Never on full color? Any chance you can also check the image on the ITB? I had this once where the image on the ITB ws fine but the one plate just under it would build up K toner along it on the backside and it would affect the K transfer only on monochrome, I guess when full color was chosen the extra bias would be enough to prevent that from happening.
The black on these machines seem very sensitive to low temperatures. I installed 4 of these on a cold morning and all 4 gave blurred prints from the PCL print test but by 3 - 4 hours in a warm office all were ok and stayed that way. Also have one customer that has same problem Monday mornings as his factory unit gets cold over the weekend. Only seems to effect the Black.
This issue usually occurs in a very high humidity environment.(+80%).
Switch on the black drum heater.By default it is off.
yep agree, turn on the drum heater, usually find in a cold or damp building, especially if no heating on over a weekend, condensation can form, make sure the auto shutdown automatcially after 4 hours is switched to 0, so it doesnt turn off, drum heaters on and should be good to go.
