One thing to keep in mind is that the error codes and messages very rarely lead you in the right direction. A Google search gets you better information than anything you get from the manual.

I had a customer ask me once if I could flip the switch so it would use the generic ink cartridges. I told him it was about proper sealing of the ink cartridges, not about flipping some switch. Funny. =^..^=
ok... I am getting tired of him picking up new dealerships...

all in the last year KM - Muratec - Canon - Epson

I busted my ass to get him re-certified on: Brother - Xerox - HP - Zebra - Oki Label

thank GOD we dropped the SamSucks line!

Ok so I am making headway.

I have resolved the 2F26 error code by replacing the linear encoder strip. Head initialization is great now.

I am still getting a 2F30 error code after noz pos check adjustment. Same problem I have plenty of ink supply it is just not firing into the sensor well.

I replaced the main board thinking somehow the firmware was corrupt or fried. That did not resolved anything.

Everything is new accept the carriage motor and the head management sensor. I have ordered a head management sensor but it will be a week before I get it in I fear.

Has anyone seen this type of misalignment of the head management sensor and nozzle firing?

I am going to have to scrap the machine if I can not get a quick resolution to the issue I described. Anyone have any idea why the printer would perform a nozzle position check outside the sensor area?

Practically everything on the machine is replaced including the main board.
