canon imageclass mf6550

i have try every thing on this canon image class mf6550 bet it only display download standby i am very worry cuss i just bought this copier from a friend and have never use it.in Africa thinks are very hard,i really need help from any one who can support me to resolve this problem.THANKS IN ADVANCE.

That's a system software problem. You can try to hold down the 1 & 9 key and turn machine on. Hold them down until machine initializes. It may happen again though.
