ok..
1) jam code
2) life on ALL consumables
3) with ANY TONER BASED LIFE FORM... Z Fold @ fuser... CHECK FUSER! how many pages on it?
4) have you pulled consumables (drums/fuser/belt) manually/visually inspected them? in good shape.. no toner buildup at fuser entrance guide? fuser gears/rollers spinning smooth?

Change both coronas and ETB. Try that and clean the fuser inlet guide.
Just had a Canon IRC 2550 last week, customer complaining that it would jam in duplexing consistently, we would go there and pull machine out of the spot it was in and it would not miss a beat. Push machine back in the spot it was in and boom, jam. After doing some checking, floor was uneven. Moved it to different location, now, no jams. Just don't know what causes problems sometimes.
Print one by one paper on double side and take picture at paper jam. Maybe still have some piece of paper stuck on paper path.
Yes, both. Sometimes the pretransfer can be soiled and not charging as well as it should and can cause the paper to flutter around. If you are still having issues check the fuser as well, I believe you thought it felt soft. All these parts are consumables, and will need to be changed.
