IRADV C5030 folds corners on double sided

Have never seen this before. Copier folds over one corner. Only when doing double sided with heavier paper.

I replaced the fixing assembly and it stopped. Customer called back today and said it's doing it again. It only does

it on one or two out of 20 pages so trying to force stop it was not a good option. Double sided on 20lb paper had

no folded corners. I tried a different inner finisher before trying the fuser and that made no difference. Just

checking to see if anyone has had this on these models. I have never seen this before. Very few of our customers

run heavier paper double sided. This isn't real heavy paper. 24 lb I think. It is not a wrinkle its a perfect corner

fold. It is on the back side of the machine. I am going to have the customer run that paper in the letter R direction

to see what happens. Has to be something in the duplex paper path but I couldn't see anything.

Open the 2nd/3rd Delivery Unit (Upper Right Side), and check for any burrs, toner buildup, or broken guide fingers.

Note: If the inner part of the unit is still screwed to the frame of the machine, feel free to take the screw out. It can open and close freely by itself,

good catch... if on the second side he should be able to do a STOP TEST to determine Where it is folding in the Duplex area.

Memory says this happens on a worn fuser unit. High humidity can also aggravate. Making the adjustment for paper curling to the fuser wont help on a worn fuser. Also on a worn fuser a full bleed page will curl and jam while everything else will not jam. This is with and without temp high humidity conditions.
