sure, I understand Canon's troubleshooting procedures, back from 1980's, those suggestions would apply, if there was no power at all to the copier. Understanding, this a 10 year old copier.
the power light was green, just no lcd. I was looking for someone, who may have this particular issue, with this particular model. I have realized, sure clearing the "corrupt key" issue was just a band aid, now,, it was a new incident for me, I work on most makes and models, I don't exclusively work on Canon's, although I did, early in my career, working for Canon dealership. I'm just trying to make a living, and many times, there are repairs, that may not make sense. So I was looking for help, from others, who may have more experience, with this problem, than myself, not critique of my troubleshooting abilities. I thought this website does exactly that, help each other..I was hoping someone else may have had to replace a dc power supply, or suggest , they have had to replace the whole control panel...This credit union has been my customer over 15 years, sure they bought the equipment from a Canon dealership,, but have more than enough faith in my honesty, and abilities to perform the service, for all the variety of variuos (various) office equipment, including Canon, Konica, HP, to scanners to micro-fiche readers, ect.
