    IRC ADV 5035 print problem

I have a big problem today.
Our customer call us today that the prints are skewing.
It is 1mm from up to down on the left on A4 paper.
I test it with an table that i print from excel/word.

Its from all 4 trays and MF tray. Test it on 80g/120g/160g paper.
    Copy/print are the same result.

I look in the ServiceManual but I can not any adjustment.

The machine is 1month old has only ca. 1400prints on it.

    any Ideas?

things you need to tell us:

What have you done besides the 'test table'?

have you done stop tests to find where the skew starts?

are all guides in the trays up to the media?

did you clean any of the interior?

very little information given to expect an intelligent response

How can the IRAC5035 be 1 month old? This is an old discontinued model!

It is an IRC Advance C5035i EQ80. In Germany, Canon sell it as new type.

    >>I print different Testpages from ServiceMode. all the same skew
    >>

are all guides in the trays up to the media?
    >>Yes.

did you clean any of the interior?
    >>Yes.Right door,Fuser entrance, registration unit. And I use all the automatic clean modes.

    EDIT:

That's interesting, so basically a remanufactured machine, why not use a later IRAC 52xx rather than old 50xx!?

Could be the laser units were removed during this process & not fitted back correctly?

In unserer Preisliste ist es genau umgekehrt, aber ist mir als Techniker auch ziemlich egal.
Für den Einkauf bin ich nicht verantwortlich.

I will check this next time.

Re: IRC ADV 5035 print problem

Is it skewing on all 4 colors? Check your ITB, run a pg5 large paer size and a few copies, use one color only and not K as yoyu will not see it good on the belt. Stop the device by opening a door so you may check the ITB and see if the image is skewed on it. There is no stop test on this model. This is important as you need to determine if the image is being written skewed, or correctly and the paper is skewed. If the image is straight on the ITB, then you have a paper feed issue, if the image is skewed on the ITB then tou have a image formation problem. If it is all colors start by checking the image formation components for physical issues. May come down to a controller as well, but start with the basic.
