canon iradv 8285 quality problem

Dears ,
a very good machine 8285 was working fine and its counter 800000k,suddenly and without any alram the print out photos looks very light ,u must make it dark to take the normal result.


i tried to make test 3 from the service mode its was very good and bold
i tried to make report print ps configuration page the paper exit very light.

copy photos also light , copy documents or print text very good condtions only as i said if photos it will be light .

i debout in primary or some boards any one have a suggestion will be thanks .

ok 800,000 pages on the machine ...

what is life on consumables?
OEM or generic toners?
what are the settings for copy mode?
is there an ecomode ( toner save mode ?)

besides running copys/prints what have you done to the machine?
do you have a service manual?

Drum yield should be 6 Million... Primary Charge and pre-transfer charge are rated for 500,000.

Otherwise...exactly what Phil suggested. Check your copy settings, check for generic toner, and if you don't have it...Get the manual FIRST!!! You can do more harm than good working on a machine without proper instruction.

AFrigginMEN! how many times here have we seen a newbie ( on a Ricoh ) do a memory/NVRAM dump WITHOUT having the Birth Cert or the manual.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS find/print out the machine settings config sheet....

THEN do the wipe/dump.

-= IF =- during service, you CHANGE a setting write it down... so if it doesn't produce desired results you can always re-input that setting back.

A little knowledge can hurts you sometimes... BUT Proper knowledge is a POWERFUL weapon!

ok we get it that you CLEARED the settings.... did you run ADJUSTMENTS -= AFTER =- doing the clears? just doing clears isn't going to set it back right without some fiddling.

do you have the service manual?

ok another silly question.... when copying photos are you using PHOTO COPY MODE?

you really NEED to let us know EVERYTHING you did so we can rule out things without waiting for you to respond.
