    iR2380 yellow lines

Hello all you lovely Canon techs,
I just wandered over from the Konica board.
We visited a client who has an old looking Canon iR2380, which they want to keep. It produces a lot of yellow lines (in the feed direction). If it was a KM machine, it would be the Yellow drum which is at fault. Would it be the same on this Canon model?
I had a quick look inside the machine but couldn't easily see the drum units. Presumably they are easy to change?

Could someone possibly have a look at the sample prints and confirm the part needed please?
    Thanks

    Hi,

Yes most likely you just need to replace the yellow drum, easy to replace, open right door, unclip small cover on right side then press latch, two screws & the process unit pulls out, ITB hinges up giving access.

Also check the ITB cleaning unit that could also be causing the lines.

Yellow drum part number 0459B002BA & cleaning unit FM2-5523-000

Drum for sure, if it was a cleaning blade you would see a mix of all the colors and the lines would not be as fine as they are there, classic drum.

Zooming in on his print sample also looks like magenta lines?

See it now, would like to see a sequence, but a cleaner likely wouldn't hurt.

On the back rail, there's a little "Kickstand" to hold the ITB cover up while you're working on the machine.

Word of caution.... When reassembling, make SURE you latch the ITB cover down securely on front and rear. You'll know it's set when the release button pops all the way back up.
