    IR2520 - UST OR SST

    Hi guys n girls,

bit lost here, customers IR2520 intermittently freezing, so decided to upgrade the firmware. Downloaded firmware from SIMS, but a bit confused of how to actually load it? looking in the service manual, it says use printer cable and SST, but when I tried upgrading, it was a self extracting file for the Main controller, which downloaded fine, but when I went to upgrade the DC it says this version is not useable on this Operating system, or something to that effect.

Question, is there a specific UST to use for upgrading F/W or do I use the SST? Looking at the procedure in SM i plug in the USB printer cable, turn on the machine and the laptop detects a wizard, it says cancel wizard and open UST?

    HELP???

Bootrom, DCON and Main controller is flashed through Canon User Support Tool (UST).
The Finisher controller PCB is flashed using Canon Service Support Tool (SST)
