    E248-0001

    IRA 4051
Are the CCD units a common replacement on these? I have two in one building giving me this code. There are five machines total there. I swapped some parts from another to try and rule out.

Main Controller 2: problem stayed with original machine
ribbon cable from reader pcb to mn cntrl 2: problem stayed with original machine
reader controller pcb: problem stayed with original machine.

Test machine is working with all these parts still swapped.

Swapped CCD with the flat cable attached: problem machine works ...not tried the test machine with bad parts

put original flat cable back on problem machine. Still works. So I’m thinking CCD.

Put suspected bad CCD into test machine. Booted up and made a copy! Then power cycled it and got a E248-0001. So I’m assuming The CCD unit is bad.

But it I have another in the building with the same code. Was off and in for a few days. But now it won’t clear.

I have never had to replace a CCD on anything. Maybe I’m lucky?

i may go run a similiar test with the other machine tomorrow.

    But any thoughts?? TIA

    Re: E248-0001

    Hi,

    I have found this:

1- Service mode > COPIER > FUNCTION > CLEAR > R-CON (RAM clear of CCD unit (CCD PCB)) >

2-Turn OFF and then ON the main power switch, and

3-In service mode, enter reader values.

    I hope it will help.

    Re: E248-0001

After re-entering values>Are the CCD Values dropping to "0" after code

    Level 1
    Copier > Adjust > CCD

I would be careful in swapping Main 2
Had success in replacing Main 2 for exact code.
