iRA C5235i - Quality issue on the back only

Hello everyone,

I was doing a monthly maintenance on an iRA C5235i yesterday and noticed some white spot on the back of the duplex paper only. It's the 1st time I'm seeing this.
It doesn't bother the customer as they almost never do duplex printing, but still, I'd like to take care of this.

Can you please guide me on what i should look for and what is it causing that ?

Looks like your fixing film is worn causing this issue.

If the fixing film is causing this, shouldn't we see those stain/white spot on the 2-side of the paper and not only on the back ?

Dear all,

The test print shows a common issue to the four colors. There are two things which can be the cause.
1- Fixing assembly ( the fixing temprature and pressure can change the paper behavior and properties). You can stop the print before the fixing assembly.
2- The secondary transfer : The transfer current is not the same for recto and for the verso.

Does it fuse correctly on the front side? No rub off?
My first impression was a fuser problem. What happens if you make a white copy after
the first duplex page? Does it show any ghosting of that image?

What have you done so far to get to the bottom of the issue?

hi.
try this.run a A3 pg 10.let it run the first side.stop it while its doing transfer on 2nd side before fuser.
when you remove paper you will see if its 2nd transfer or not.if not then its a fuser related issue.

it can be fuser and it can be 2nd transfer roller.you will have to break it down to where issue is.

Secondary outer transfer roller in door. I am surprised it does not show on first side. I put one in a 7260 looked almost exactly like that only first side.
