IR2200- Bulk Paper Picks From the Bypass Tray

    Hello,
I'm working on an IR2200. It sometimes fails to pick the paper from the bypass tray. When it does, it may sometimes lift five or more papers. I cleaned the pickup roller, and sun dried the copy papers- suspecting they might have stuck together by humidity. This too did not work.
I would appreciate any suggestions on possible causes. Thanks in advance.

This model uses a separation pad mounted in the right door, this separates the pages, replace it if worn down also make sure its making contact with the pick up roller, the cam can break stopping in the wrong position preventing the lifter plate from rising.

    Hello,
Thanks for the response. I will look carefully and give a feedback asap. It is a reasonable distance from here. I wish it happens to be your suggestions.

    Hello,
It really was the separator pad as was suggested. I decided not to replace, but try an alteration on the original. I used a paper tape and stuck about three layers on the original pad. I did the same thing on the steel that comes before the separator pad. Presently, it is functioning like the brand new. I'm so grateful for the suggestion Buddy!

Good fix but this sounds temporary that tape wont stay put for long!
