Question Machine does not scan the whole paper

    Hello,
I have a problem with my Canon IR2520. When i copy a paper, the scanner ignores about 5mm from the left and the right side as shown in the image below:

I printed the report from the settings menu, and there was no problem with it, so it's clearly a problem with the scanner or something else. I should probably also mention that i change the zoom ratio a lot when using the machine depending on the document i want to copy (ID card, copybook, notebook...etc).
So is there some way to calibrate it?

Too many variables to diagnose sight unseen. Are you using the glass, the ADF? The only time I have had issues with this model scanning was using the platen glass and the machine would try to scan LTR R and not LTR, and the document feeder had to be aligned correctly height wise for it to properly read size from the glass. Check this by putting standard size paper on the glass, LTR, LTRR, LGL, LDG and compare if the proper paper sizes are being pulled. If not, look to adjust the dadf height. Make sure your copy setting are at default.

There is a certain amount of void to aid in separating from the fuser from the factory. Otherwise it would jam almost every time. I remember back in the day of putting a 1/4" lead edge void in schools due to teachers leaving the lid up while copying their books
