I have acustomer with a CANON LBP7660Cdn with the following message coming up but there is no paper jammed in the machine
- PAPER IS JAMMED MP TRAY AREA + DRAWER 1 AREA

Any ideas appreciated.

what have you tried?
is there a JXXXX type code associated?
have you cleaned rollers?
check paper size/type?
is this during print or copy?
what does the service manual tell you about this message? ( even USER manual should explain)

Hello,
Remove the tray and check the paper detection sensor. Press gently to see if there is enough tension in the spring. Even if there is, my suspicion is that a sensor is out of place and not returning to home position or out of order.

LBP 7660 paper jam

OK there is no jam code, when you go through the jam removal procedure it puts out a blank page & then calls up the jam again.
Paper size is ok, rollers ok. Not a multi-function machine, only print.
Sensor flag seems ok.
Probably need to try a sensor..

Sound's like sticky pad on pickup solenoid.

Make internal print to avoid driver issues.
