Canon IR 1018 problem (downlod conected)???

Hi you all !
Ihave a broblem with ir 1018:
in the display have a massege "Download conected" and there is no anything which work in a control panel??? when turn off end on, then again the same!?

What can I do ... to resolve that??? somebody help....???
some time in the display have end 7701 ...???

SERVICE MODE.....CLEAR......ALL.
Turn machine off then back on...should be fine.

But I don`t have service manual for it... and i don`t know how to get in service mode!!!
The butons on control panel don`t work any af them!!!

I think you are right and this is the way how to clear that, but the buton for additional menu don`t reacting at all. All butons are not responding.
I had tryed to push the additional functions then 2 and 8 then aditional functions and nothing and still have on a display massege "download conected" if the USB cable is conected to the copier and "download standby" when the USB cable is disconected from the copier!

Download Standby Message : iR1022 Series

Symptom
The iR displays 'Download / Standby' Mode at Power On. The iR functions cannot be accessed through the Control Panel.

Cause

1. Corrupt System Software
2. Defective DDR Module

Action

1. In one case, flashing the iR to the most current system software, resolved the issue.
2. In another instance, replacement of the DDR module solved the Download Standby Message. The part number for the DDR Module PCB Assembly is as follows:
   • iR1018 / iR1022 : FM2-4897-000
   • iR1022iF : FM2-4898-000

The Machine Boots into Download Mode: iR2020 Series

Symptom
When the machine first boots up, it goes directly into Download Mode.

Cause
This will happen when the machine does not read the BootROM properly, or the BootROM is blank.

Action
If this should happen while you boot the machine, connect your laptop and use Service Support Tool Version 3.22e or later to flash the BootROM of this device with at least version 60.02. Once this is done, the machine will completely boot. ..

Just an update to this fault:
I had to run up 7 of these iR1022if for the one customer this week.
Out of the 7 the very last machine,at power on,displayed the "DOWNLOAD STANDBY" message on the screen and you could not clear it...effectively the machine was waiting for a software upgrade.
I connected the machine to the tech pc in the workshop and flashed the software using the BATCH ALL 32MB batchfile in SST.
No good
Then I realized that this error only occured AFTER I fitted the 32mb print rom to the machine.
I retraced my steps and lo-and behold found a cable unplugged on the fax board...plugged it in and all was working fine.
Canon's fix was to update the software OR replace the printer rom

Ir 1018 was with warranty on onother company union and I was forced to take her back.I miss to resolve the problem but it`s past naw!!!
It`s interesting on me what kinde of softwear is this and how can I get that!!!For fleshing on the rom I meen, how that work and how i have to install on my PC! In case like this!
