IR 6055i won't load up

Upon turning on, loading bar reaches half, then machine resets.

Machine is Canon iR 6055i.

Any ideas? Thanks.

could be HDD - firmware - other component

2 8 boot, still restarts. I think it's PCB1, just need second opinion.

Can't do firmware update, restarts within 20 seconds max.

Clean and reseat all contacts,memory.....
Do you have fax board installed?
What happen if you turn on copier with hdd unplugged?

Restart may be ram. I was thinking HD until you said that. Seems like you could boot to HD, format and reload software but I have had computers (was ram) and one Canon that did that but it would start and run a while before rebooting and they traded it in because they let the maintenance contract expire. Also main controller but not sure if that has two like some of the other ones. Glad it is not me.

Reseat any RAM. Disconnect finisher,etc, open all doors, drawers, etc then try to reboot after unplugging from wall and plugging back in. Can you run a Main-con or Boot Check?
