Canon IR Advance 5051 Copy Problem

    Hello,
I was initially invited to replace an ITB cleaning blade for this Canon IR Advance 5051. There was this traces of vertical streaks in the copies as shown in the attachment. I have swapped with other working drum units for all the colors. I have remove and cleaned the two laser units. Yet I still don't have any success.
Could someone suggest any other areas I should check? I'll be grateful for your kind suggestions!

    Developers counter?

Try to stir developer in the Developing Assemblies for all colors.

    COPIER > FUNCTION > INSTALL>STIR-4

You say you have another identical copier. Swap developer. Cian is the most problematic.

Looks like laser to me as well. I would clean them before swapping anything out.

Symptoms of an ITB Cleaning Blade on this model is a greenish streak that runs from lead edge to trailing edge... usually at the front or rear, but I've seen it in the center as well.

It's been my experience that void or light streaks from lead to trailing edge are either dirty lasers, or worn drum/developer units.

I had one machine that was in a VERY dusty environment where a lot of arc welding took place, and a haze developed on the INSIDE of the laser glass. I had to remove and disassemble the units, clean the interior...including the glass and polygon mirrors, replace the gasket for the top cover and reinstall.

No problem.I suppose you've also cleaned the laser slit glass, when you cleaned the laser unit.

Good one. I often forget this.
Manufacturer of the copier made this cleaner for the user and not for the technician. In practice, this is done by 1% of users.

    Hello Friends,
Thanks so much for the input. But I stopped short of Zoraldinho's suggestion of stirring the developer. Bingo! that was it. Thumbs up buddy!
