canon ir3320i paper jam at rightside cover

hi,my canon keeps jamming. the jams occur at in the right side cover, just below the bypass tray. bypass works just fine, no error code. those papers that made it to the output tray are often times folded. i ve cleaned all the four sensors of the four feeder cassette units but it didn't help.

What’s the jam code? What’s the life percentage of the rollers? Maybe you should replace them. Jam code is important.

Think it was this model, there are foam pads on a gate on side door that break down and gate sticks.

Had one tech who would remove the foam pads, usually led to folded edges. If you cannot replace these pads you can use electrical tape to cover them as a test or temp measure. The tape keeps the positioning of the flapper and takes the tackiness away.

Haven’t seen one of these in 10 years, but if you open the right door and swing it out, there will be a flapper activates by a selenoid. The flapper has a plastic arm on each side that will come to rest on a black foam pad on each side. The pads are very small in size. Put electrical tape over them and try to feed paper. There has been a modified white plastic pad issued since but many of them have not had the new style pads put in.

The flapper in question is about 2/3 up the right door or so.
That and rollers are usually the culprit.

This is a 3320. You’re thinking of the 3225 series and those like it. The 3320 is like the 2200,2800,3300
