    Canon IR2016J Platen Glass Dirty

Hi, I have a "Platen Glass Dirty" error every time i copy through the ADF. When I put a document directly on glass, copy is perfect... I clean glass (little glass) over and over, but it is same problem. Can anyone help me about this? Thank you!

    Hello,

You can try this but it may not be totally effective, you may still get the odd line etc. here and there.

Press Additional Functions and go to Adjustment/Cleaning press OK

Scroll across to Auto ADF Dirty Adj and press OK

    Select 'On' and press OK

Press the standby button (circle with triangle in it) to go back to default display.

This makes the machine ignore the majority of the 'dirt' messages it gets but you should always ensure you give the small slit glass a regular cleaning as well as the white plates above it.

    Hope this helps.
