Pay close attention to ITB cleaner assebly....3100's are notorious for ITB streaks...if the streak is brown colored and in the center of the page it is probably ITB cleaning. Been there a thousand times!! New cleaner assembly has adjustable cleaning blade pressure. Loosen ITB assembly mounting screws(NOT CLEANER),pinch the upper rear corner near delivery area and tighten screw, then tighten front screw, then other screws on right hand side. Shim under the center of cleaner blade(folded paper). I have actually reformed the metal blade. Mount the cleaner assembly now. To verify it is ITB remove delivery tray and you will see the ITB. Make a full color copy. You will see colors added layer by layer. When copy is complete look at ITB...you will probably see a streak on it.. Run 5 in a row full color. If streak on belt after copies, ITB cleaning...if not then suspect drum. I've had drum streaks at 80% drum life. Like I said..THESE MACHINES ARE FAMOUS FOR ITB CLEANER STREAKS

I think that they're referring to fine streaks that blanket the page from top to bottom...it looks like a drum cleaning blade leaking.
This issue began on the 3100 series about 8 months ago...all of a sudden we began having these cleaning failures.
You'd go to the machine..commonly the drum life would be anywhere from 60% to 80% but never 100%.
You pull the drum out...follow the cleaning steps that I mentioned an earlier post and refit the drum.
Usually that's enough to get the drum to life...but in a few cases the drum has been burned and only fitting a new drum will fix the issue.
Like I said...I began noting that this issue started around 8 months ago.

Disassemble the drum unit....take the drum off and safely store it...remove and wash the primary roller....vacuum the cleaning brush and inside the w/t storing area of the drum....reassemble the drum...clean or replace the secondary transfer roller(the one that sits in the right hand side door) and see if the copy quality improves.

    Re: Canon IR C3100

    Hi.
I need the SST software and the firmware for this machine, or if you can send me the password for the Canon SST, much better. I'm getting error E602-0001 (before I was getting error 00602-0202, but I extracted the HDD, connected to my PC and made Fdisk to two FAT partitions, the other 7 were RAW partitions. Nothing good happended). thank you.

    HI.
I've just got the SST, so I only need the IRC3100 firmware.

    Thanks in advance.
