Canon ir 1600 copy quality
is there a copy quality (exposure) adj for the ir1600? didnt see an adj in the intravia.
please help

as far as y now there is no adjustment for the copy / print qualiti. If you have a problem just say and we will help you.

Guess I am slower than normal but it seems to me the AE can be turned on/off and manually adjusted using the Light/AE/Dark key (mid-upper left). If you want more adjustment than that allows, then you need to do a gain auto adj (13-12 in service manual).
My limited exp with these units lead me to say check the transfer roller.

I've found on anumber of older iR1600 and 2000's that light print is caused by the DV unit. You don't need to replace it, just disassemble it and clean the rubber doctor blade and the developing roller with Fedron or some other strong cleaner, than reaaselble with fresh toner. The difference it black fills will amaze you.

The CS unit on the 1600 is notorious for failing and producing a light output.

yeah just clean the developer roller with a metal pulisher like Brasso and the developer blade and you will have exelent copies
