Change Boot Room From C To N IR 5000

can u help me, how to change boot room ir 5000 from c to n?

Boot rom located on right side, remove small metal plate for access.

There is a special hardware to change botroom from C to N. I don't know if there is special software to flash bootrom from C to N. For me am using IR5000 for flashing bootrom. It can handle IR5000, 6000, 3300, 7200, 8500 and 105 together with SST.

You need to purchase print kit, comes with nic card, ram, and bootrom.

You cannot flash a C up to an N. Buy the print kit if you can. Canon does not supply them anymore.

You can get them cheaper than that.

It's a pity other accessories are not so readily found on places such as eBay.

I had this issue a while back. You cannot get N by itself. I have a few N Roms from dead machines I would sell. You still need a NIC card (also have) if you want TCP/ip and you will need to do a SST after N install but it will work (I've done it) and if you dont get the NIC card the centronics port will work you can even use a CAt 5 to centronics printserver. Hokey but it works, let me know if its a plain 5000 or a 5020 or 5000s BTW have same for Ir 8500 and 105's
