ir7086 733-0001 code
Getting 733-0001 code when running saddle stitch 11x17. Seems to happen after about 40 or 50 sets of varying sheets. Machine stops and just idles for about two minutes then throws the code. Flashed machine to V2 and replaced main and dc controllers, cable from reader, but still have problem. I didn't replace dc power supply because I thought I would be getting other errors if it was the cause. Fuser unit has been rebuilt. I am starting to think I may have a finisher issue but I also noticed that when the machine starts to idle (just before error code) I can hear the toner bottle motor running. This started happening after customer ran a 500K job. Also, customer states error happens when finisher is not doing saddle stitch, just regular output. I have only witnessed the error using saddle stitch. Any ideas to help solve this nightmare???

E733-0001
An attempt to communicate with the DC controller fails.
Disconnect and then connect the connector. Check the power supply of the DC controller (to see if initialization occurs at time of start-up). Replace the DC controller PCB. Replace the main controller PCB. Which you did so already.
Also check the arc-net cabling for proper connections and terminators,
try replacing these first or reload firmware again and check firmware version for the saddle make sure there in sync with the V2 firmware or flash the controller pcb of the finisher.

Re-seat the plugs on the finisher controller and also cut all the ty wraps from the wire harnesses going to it. Canons are notorious for over tight ty wraps

The finisher pwb connectors have all been reseated and I cut all the tie wraps on the finisher and as many as I could on the main machine. I have had problems with Canon tie wraps before. It is amazing just how tight they make them. I may be able to swap the finisher with a machine down the hall if I can set it up with my customer. I am going to try this early this coming week. Thanks for your input!

I HAVE seen E733-0001 caused by accessories lately.
I pulled a fax kit out of an iR5055 this week due to constant E733-0001/E674-0008 errors.
Your issue however might be the accessories power supply?
