If you give the 1023 an IP address you can do it thru RUI. Just enter the IP address in your browser and go into address book settings.

but you can't set up scan to email via the rui - it has to be done through the control panel which is a right pita

Alex - thanks for the clarification. This would explain why I couldn't find anything in the RUI. We are currently using the scan to folder but I need the details for scan to email. Can you help? The 1023 is so different from the others!

again THROUGH the control panel set up your smtp, username etc and you're good to go.

THEN be nice and add email address in the address book via the rui to help your end user.

in short this machine does support ALL these features BUT is user un-friendly.
