Have you tried a different USB cable? Have you tried to print to it from a different PC, or laptop with the proper driver installed?

According to djbass you can, but you need an optional accessory. If it's been working before then they would have this accessory installed.

hi, you can try to clear the machine by using service mode, Additional Function>ID>scroll to #12 CLEAR>start>scroll to CLEAR All>start, off the machine and on again, if can't then another method is go to service mode scroll to #7 scroll to reset>start and off/on the machine.

I'd be trying the Printer Reset first.

Im not too sure if this model has a usb setting but you can check.

USB Connection Disable is a function for disabling the USB port when connecting the device to a computer using a USB cable. When the settings are set to "Off", connections between the imageRUNNER device and a computer via USB are prohibited, preventing unauthorized access of a direct connection between a computer and the imageRUNNER device.

This can be accessed in :
    1. Additional Function.
    2. System Settings
    3. USB Settings

    Here is a check list:
    1) Check the integrity of the USB cable or simply try a different cable.
    2) Install the CAPT inf driver on the computer then test-print using a parallel printer cable.
    3) If parallel printing is confirmed, disconnect the parallel printer cable.
    4) Reinstall the USB cable then test print to determine if it was a driver issue.
    5) If USB printing still fails and parallel printing works then, try resetting or replacing the print controller.
    6) If both print methods fail, try printing from a different pc, else replace the print controller.
