Canon IR2018 as a network scanner

Hello,

I installed a canon IR2018 in my network . I did with it printing on network with software that come with this Canon.
I installed also Netgear Scanner but I can not manage with scan..
When I press the SCAN button , it appears SCAN MODE on the display.
Net utility indicates correctly that this canon 2018 is rready for scan.
What should i make ?

You should have another software for scanning. You can use Adobe or whatsoever. I am using CutePdf Professional.

On my computer appears only canonir2018 printer,..not scanner icon.
Is it correctly ?

You cannot see the Scan icon in the Printer and Faxes window.

If your Network Scangear software detects the scanner of your machine which is the IR2018 so you're ready to scan.

But the Scangear software is not capable for scanning. It needs additional software like Adobe or Windows scanner program in order for you to scan.

I will recommend to use CutePdf Professional. Give me your email add I will send it to you.
