    MS Excel on iR2200-3300

Hello all fellows techs and engineers,

I recently found out a problem that is only with MS Excel Printing with iR3300.

    Example:-
I created an excel document with 5 spreadsheet on it.

    Spreadsheet 1 = 3 pages
    Spreadsheet 2 = 1 page
    Spreadsheet 3 = 4 pages
    Spreadsheet 4 = 2 pages
    Spreadsheet 5 = 3 pages

Now i wanna print to a iR3300 but only using Drawer 2.
    Machine Drawer setup is

    1st Tray = A4 ( Plain NEW )
    2nd Tray = A4 ( Draft Papers )

Here is the problem.... once it start to print...
It will take 3 pieces from 2nd Tray ( Draft paper ) then 1 piece from 1st Tray ( Plain NEW ) then 4 piece from 2nd Tray again and so on...

So what i meant is ... why each time printing jobs jump from 1st spreadsheet to other spreadsheet it will jump tray too even i choose only wanted to print using the drawer 2....OK if i only choose 1 spreadsheet to print to specified drawer then i work great.Only when you choose to print out from all spreadsheet then tray jumping is going to occur.

Does anyone came across this issue before..... any solution or setting in excel ?

    thanks for reading

    first a question..

I am not sure what is meant by draft paper,,, is this something that has already been printed to or copied on,, what I would refer to as scrap paper?? Also, if you know you have this problem, why not just pop out the top drawer while you print this scenario, to keep the machine from sourcing from the top drawer? This problem seems familiar to me,,, have you posted about this in the past?

Another question, which version of Excel are you using? Have you tried printing using a different version of Excel? What type of print drivers are you using?

Also take a look at your thread (that mrfixit51 remerbered) Canon iR3300 - Automatic Cassette Paper Feeding

For the implications of changing APS/ADS settings see the user manuals (copy and reference guides)

Dear Mrfixit , bro bnmand and mata ...... the machine works just fine to all softwares words , adobe etc.... only excel.

1.i'll reply to Bro Mrfixit first : No i never post this before as i just found out the problem.
AGREE : on popping out the drawer on this scenario.but customer cant accept it as this is the fastest way of printing all spreadsheet at one time ( hold control + click on all spreadsheet tabs ).MrfixIt popping out the drawer will make the machine halted and asking for papers for other drawer. It works great when u are printing on 1 tab of spreadsheet no matter how many page there is.

    2. Bro bnmand : MS excel 2007 and 2003 all same giving same problem.Canon v6.10 latest driver.

3.Bro mata : Same paper for all pages is the default setting on the driver..same problem.

Only solution the customer is seeking is...to print multi tabs spreadsheet to a specific drawer .... dont jump tray after 1 spreadsheet finish.

Thanks bro mrfixit bro bnmand and bro mata for the reply

Did you read the suggestions in the other thread you started that I linked to?

Additional Functions > Common Settings > Store Paper Type.

You could try setting a different paper type for drawer 2 e.g. if your draft tray contains recycled paper set that.

    Also try changing APS/ADS settings.

Also if Page Size is "A4", Select Output size also as "A4" (not match paper size).

If you can create the same issue on multiple machines with the same result, then it can only be an application issue, out of the scope anything that can be remedied at the copier. Your issue lies within Excel, and my advice is to contact Microsoft help groups for the solution to this strange behavior.

    have a great day!
