Ethier bad firmware or bad HDD.
You can try reseating the dimm chips and the bootrom.

Look like R Con not responding.
Goto service mode (* 2 8 *),>copier >IO >RCON. See if all address return data 0(non of the bit =1)?

If the copier is stuck while its trying boot up, you really can't get into service mode to check how R-CON is doing. You can't do anything but check out the system area part of the unit. Which was, Ethier bad firmware or bad HDD or bad dimm chips and or a bad bootrom.

If the progress bar stop at 40% or 60% it is HDD don't boot properly.
If it reaches 95% and still wait there, you have a hight change to get into service mode.

Keep it simple... check your connections first to all accessories like Finisher and Feeder, then try unplugging all of the connections and powering on. Reseat BootRom and any DIMMS and while your in there reseat any cables going to the Main Controller. Listen to Hard Drive see if you can hear it clicking, or spinning up and spinning back down. More than likely it is Hard Drive due to age of machine. Hard Drives are only rated for 3-5 years. Please post results.
