    Re:C2880i

    Hello,

    I have a Canon C 2880i machine. Since resetting all setting, I get a

"RemoteUI Contents is Not Found!! RUI Module Version : 9101" error.

Can anyone please help me with SST + latest firmware for the C2880i machine?

PS: I know this is my first post but you always usually start when you have problems...

what did u re-set that u lost RUI

did u check the Printers Firmware Version list to see what is loaded in ?
    Service Mode/Copier/Display/Version

Do u have HTTP and RUI enable on the copier

The correct version of RUI firmware must be flashed onto the copier. A specific version of the RUI firmware is required for each individual version of system software (MN-CONT Firmware) for each specific copier model. The correct version of the RUI firmware to be used with your current version of MN-CONT software can be found on that system software version's System Software-

    To correct this problem:
    1. Flash the copier with the correct version of RUI firmware.
    2. Be sure to enable HTTP and RUI on the copier.
    3. Be sure to enable "Dedicated Port" on the copier.

NOTE: For MEAP Enabled Devices, please make sure that the proper MEAP version in Service Mode/Copier/Display/Version is also installed. If everything fails, perform a Clear MMI. Also note that on MEAP enabled devices, USE HTTP under TCP/IP Settings and USE HTTP under MEAP Settings must be ON.

    also > make sure under
    Additional Functions>System Settings>Network Settings>TCP/IP Settings>Multicast Discovery>is OFF.

I did a "clear all settings" within the advanced functions menu. The first time everything went well but I got an error message that the "defult key" is broken. Therefore I did the "clear all settings" again with the described result.

My system version seems quite up to date (if March 2011 is the latest version)

1-what Language are u using on this printer
the System ver. (MN-Count 93.02) needs to exactly match the Language ver. being used/ right now it's only on German & Japanese /
that's the first issue if you intend to be using English

2-your Firmware versions need to be reloaded/ or all updated
3-who told u to clear all settings ????
What ADVANCED Settings are u talking about ???????
    4-the RUI is loaded in----

5-"defult key" is broken--* Note - Any key pairs or certificates imported onto the copier must be registered to be used. You can only register key pairs that use the RSA algorithm (the DSA algorithm is not supported). To delete a key pair or certificate, you will need to disable SSL for all the protocols that support SSL on the copier (ex. RUI, IPP, SMTP, POP, Device Information Delivery, MEAP).

Additional Functions -> System Settings -> Network Settings -> TCP/IP Settings -> Dept. ID Management Password Confirmation / make sure this is set to "OFF"

How to clear out the message Default Key is Corrupt
    1. Enter service mode * 2 8 * > * 2, for level 2
    2. Copier > Function > Clear > highlight CA Key - press OK.
    3. Power copier off, then back on - Default Key is Corrupt message should clear.

    IMPORTANT NOTES:
In some case although the above procedure was followed, “The Default Key is corrupted or invalid.” message is still displayed.

    Please perform the following procedure.
1.Install the key and the CA certificate using Service Support Tool.
2.Turn the main power OFF and ON.
    3.Clear CAKEY. (Service Mode Level 2 > COPIER > FUNCTION> CLEAR > CAKEY)
4.Turn the main power OFF and ON. * After this procedure is performed the key and the CA certificate will be set to the default values.

    -------------------------------

    If u don't have a KEY# or CA --- Make one up

If the message did not clear perform the following to create a new key:

    1. Additional Function> System Settings> Network Settings> TCP/IP Settings> Certificate Settings 2. Select Generate Key
    3. Enter Key Name: input any name (Default Key)
    4. Select 1024 for Key Length
    5. Enter the Current Date as the start date
    6. Enter the End Date with current Month and Day and the Year - 2032

    7. Select Start Key Generation
    8. Go back to Certificate Settings and select Key and Certificate List
    9. Select the corrupt Default Key and press Erase
    10. Cycle power.

Re: i have all of canon service+SST

    Thanks again for your reply.
    I ment "additional functions"

Where do I get the firmware from? If I understand you correct, I have 93.02, my language file is totaly outdated (and the latest version seems to be 94.01).

Starting the Canon I have English language on the screen; and I could select Japanese or German on the webinterface.

I tried to enter a ney key - worked
I tried to delete the old standard key - error message that the key is in use
I tried to set the new key as standard key - didn´t work

So I did a ´restore all settings´ once again. After that the eroor message ´borken standard key´ did not show up again.

Can anyone please help me with an updated lanuage file / firmware?
