Anybody had many issues with the Main Controllers on this machine?
They seem to be seriously flakey in certain batches.
I've had two in as many days fall over ....in one the symptom was a blank LCD...green light on and the machine did initial rotation.
Cleaned the bootrom, ram and all the sub pcb's but the only way I could get a stable screen was a different Main Controller.
Today I went to a machine with an E749-0003 error code....it's not in the manual.
I found mention of it in Canon's Techbase and the only way the tech could fix it was a Main Controller clear.
Bearing in mind I couldn't connect to the RUI to backup mailboxes and address books I had to go ahead and do the clear.
Ironically after clearing the board the print network chose that exact moment to fall over so of course I thought I'd killed the machine
Connected my laptop via crossover and breathed a sigh of relief when I was able to ping and print.
These two machines however make the number of Main Controllers I've replaced 5...anyone else having issues??
