May want to order 2 motors as I learned that on the units where one motor failed - the other followed shortly there after.

Did you check for the initial error code that cause the issue, and what was it.

You swapped motors. Since you swapped motors, and now the lower tray is giving a E542 now. The question I must next ask. So, before you swapped the motors, was the upper tray working? You should have in error history a E540, if the upper tray did not hit home position. Do you have a E540 in error history?

Also check flags, make sure there swinging freely and not stuck or broken. One other thing. When the trays go up and down as when the machine is turned on, pay attention closely to the trays, as they should hit the flag arms when they go up and down. They must hit or tap those flag arms when the machine is turned on. You can also get those error codes.

    Good luck.

The original code was E540-8004, upper tray shift motor. After switching motors I get E542-8004, lower tray shift motor. I hope I'm right. This is a sub contract call and I just want to get it done.
