    Im not shure

I dont know if i has understand your problem.

But the first to check is the sensors in the adf tray.
Change the photointeruptor with each other and se for the result.

    One flag is possible displaced..

It could be the width sensor that had came out of place or needs an adjustment in sm / mode feeder

The cable to the green lamp could be defect
    Good luck

If I understand your problem, the copies are way down on the page cutting off your image? ( I don't work with A sized paper in the States, so I don't, know offhand which sizes are comparable to which sizes I deal with) If the pages are long, like legal, make sure the tray sensors are being activated. Curled paper will not hold them down, and then the copier makes wrong decisions for you. Try your long documents with the flags taped down just for a test, to see if you get good results. If you do, then you have a problem with curled originals.

Lets stick with legal here for the sake of easy understanding... If you put a legal sized document on the document glass and copy it, is your image correct? Now, if you tape down the two long paper sensor flags on the document feeder entry tray, and feed your legal sized document thru the doc feeder, is your image correct?

Are the dials set correctly in the paper drawers to properly signal what paper is in each drawer?

I also do not work with the A4/A3 settings - but it seems a little strange that you can mix the LGL in with the A3. LGL is inches and A3 is metric (I think). Make sure the drawer dial and US/Metric are properly set.
