imagePRESS C1 & Fiery Server Q1 "please wait"

I am trying to get an imagePRESS C1 to work and keep getting the "please wait" when it should show "idle".
Initially it went through the Fiery setup where I had to put in the password etc, now it just says
"please wait" and when I put a monitor keyboard and mouse on Fiery it turns out the Fiery is not going into operating system, it just waits on logon screen for password.

Once I log in if I print test page the imagePRESS C1 green light says processing but then it does not print.
I do not have disc to restore os but I am wondering if that is the solution.
Any suggestions appreciated.

OK, I finally have the operating system disk/s on the way.
Do I install from the drive in the Q1 or do I install from another computer through the
crossover network cable?
Will I be clearing and restoring the entire drive or just the partition with winXP?
Any info appreciated.
Thanks

Use X over cabel

Use X-over cable and deamontool.
Then you don have to burn the sytem and you will save time.
Good luck

Thanks for the info, Kapten, I see that deamon tool can be downloaded and wonder what it is and what it does.
I am familliar with restoring hard disk or partitions from image files but have never restored
using a X-over cable.
Could someone explain it to me like i was a six-year-old?

If it's the original system disk, just plug in Q1 and do restart. Download will start automatically.

Thanks CanoNiR
So is that going to restore the whole drive?
I think there are three or four partitions on it.
