I am curious about a couple of things. First you said you make a copy and it jams and you open the door and it goes away. Does this mean the copy exits the machine on it's own and are you setting it for one copy? Have you run multiples?
Secondly, you said you changed unit one. Does this mean the entire fixing feeder tray assembly? does the one that jams jam in the other machine and the one from the other machine works ok in the jamming machine? That would narrow it down to the tray 1 assembly.
I would check the connector on the backside of the tray assembly for any pieces of paper.

Also the 020A the 02 stands for a stationary jam the 0A indicates it is at the separation claws. Is the paper getting stuck at the sensor or is it getting out of the machine?

Canon IR-8500 Jam Problem

I change the sensor as per instructions in the separation claws and no success.

The copies after being made they exit the copier and right afters it says that it jams.

I took the Fuser unit Assembly only from a working copier and put it in the Unit 1 tray of the jamming copier to see if it would work and no success, same thing happen., But I took the whole Unit 1 (with fuser unit and everything) from a working copier and installed it in the jamming copier and it worked.

Hope you guys understand.

what can I do next.

Thxs

If that is the case it is in the tray assembly. I think we can all agree on that. It is not seeing the paper leave the sensor, but you said you replaced it. Make sure the spring has enough bounce back, it may need an extra wrap. Cut wire ties from the sensor to the tray one connector and massage the wires to smooth out the damage done by the wire ties. It sounds like a DC Con, but if it moves with the tray assembly that can't be right. Also closely check the rear connector for small scraps of paper.

Aslo try a two sided copy and see if it jams. If the pasges are supposed to be going face down and they are exiting face up then the solenoid or gate that turn the page down toward the duplex tray are not working properly. The solenoid arm can break, or warp and rub against the frame. The solenoid can go bad or the gate could be broken or sticking.

check the sensor right after the lower fuser. It can become unplugged sometimes if yiu are changing the lower . Also chck the spring on the arm itself it can come off.
