Grayscale printing with Canon MFDs

Hi All,

Just wondering if someone can help me out here..

I've got a client who prints out a booklet where the front page is in colour and the rest is in B&W with grayscale images.

My question is, because the driver will have to be configured to print colour, will the MFD create the grayscale from CMYK (Process Black) or will it just use Black? (i am assuming there is no add on hardware features like a Fiery etc - just out of the box)

Any thoughts or confirmations would be great. thanks.

MAKE SURE THE PROCESS BLACK SETTINGS ARE TURNED ON IN BOTH THE DRIVER AND THE MACHINE..!!!
Other wise the customer will be charged colour clicks for B/W jobs.
