    Hi Nick,
    At least I know you are reading the posts...

    I have to assume that you mean ltr-r as well as legal? I have not run into that one. I believe the feeder uses sensors that are blocked for a time frame to determine the length of the documents. This copier is notorious for multifeeding. I would toss a sep pad into it to see what that did for the problem. At least you would be doing no harm at small cost to you, to see if that would resolve the issue...

    I guess jam codes are in order here,, description of DADF problem is still too general.

    Did you try this?
    'Different Size Originals' must be set up in Scan Special Features when you want to fax mixed originals through the document feeder. Here's the procedure:

    * First select the SEND tab on the display and enter the phone number you want to send the fax to:

    * Select OK

    * Press the 'ACS' icon at the right of the display. This icon has the resolution currently set and an arrow.

    * Select 'OPTION' in the drop down menu. (This will bring up the Scan Screen)

    * Select 'SPECIAL FEATURES'

    * Select 'DIFFERENT SIZE ORIGINALS' (A dialog box will come up saying it is on when you select it)

    * Press 'DONE'

    *Press OK.

    Using this procedure will prevent your mixed size originals from jamming in the document feeder when in fax mode. Remember you can only send orginals of the same width through the document feeder in mixed originals mode. (ie: LTR-R & Legal).
