    0108

will it duplex from the right deck without fail ?
0108 = left deck pull off sensor ... check the p/u tires to see if they are lifting up off the top of the stack between each sheet if not it maybe the the pull off clutch in the back of the copier behind the fan duct
CL4 ( left deck pull off clutch ). Part number FH7-5729-030. CL4 is located on the rear of the iR behind the fan duct.

    Hi Gerhard,
Most left hand paper drawers have a one way bearing on the input shaft, I have seen these seize up and prevent the feed operation, have also seen it be sporadic as to when it occurs. When you rebuild these assemblies, be sure to put a drop of oil on the shaft next to the bearing. This is especially true for units that have a lot of miles on them.

make sure the white block is not missing from the paper deck itself. It has to be mounted during instal..it allows the sep roll to move up into position. Remove the right deck, look at left deck feed components with flashlight and open and close the left deck to make sure sep roll moves up against feed roll when the deck is closed.

Make sure that jam stopper is screwed on as Canuck mention. There is also one other part towards the rear of that paper stock ass'y(deck). It has one screw, its sort of like that jam stopper. Also check the cable that lifts the tray inside of that deck. Manually raise it up and make sure that its coming up evenly.

One other thing I have been replacing for intermitent jamming is the tourque limiter on the sep roller. This in many cases has cleared up problems with multiple models of copiers that are having intermitent jamming.
