Canon Imagerunner 3225 No LCD

Canon Image runner 3225 was creating a slight high pitched wine - when looking at the machine I noticed the LCD touch panel was not displaying the image correctly - almost as if there were a glare in the screen - attempted to adjust the brightness with the control panel no luck - proceeded to turn the machine off and restart - when the copier restarted the entire screen is blank - however, the entire unit still functions as normal except no lcd touch panel display - but if you know where to touch on the screen you can change the settings as normal. The machine was installed new 6/18/09 and has less than 6,000 on the meter for print/scan/copy it was plugged to a surge protector provided with the machine and no issues with and electrical surge getting to the machine.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

I have seen a problem like this before. Did you have the rear panel off? check to be sure no wires are pinched. I also found under the glass, and under a small metal cover there was a connector not seated correctlly. reseated that and bingo. all returned to normal
