Ir 4570 Poor fixing

Dear friends,

One of my ir4570's output ( dark areas ) is able to wipe with hands. I had tried to increase fixing temprature but no result. Is it related to film or complete fixing unit. already I had checked the pressure roller and spring, these are normal.

Please help me with your valuable ideas................

You did not say anything about an error code so I am assuming the fixing unit is heating up properly. If pressure and heat are ok I would look towards bad toner or a paper issue such as a heavy paper or textured paper.

Like I said, if you don't think paper is the issue, remove all old toner and try fresh toner that you know is the correct toner and see if that clears up your trouble. But before going to all that work. Get a fresh ream of paper that you know you can rely on and run something you know gives them trouble. If the new paper works it is the paper they are using. If it does the same thing it is time to move onto cleaning out the toner.

Opening/closing of right door controls engagement/disengagement of fixing pressure. Ensure proper operation.

Have a check to see if the cleaning bar is in the fixing assembly and if it is check thats its not worn out therefore not collecting toner anymore. Sometimes toner can stay on the pressure roller from the print before.

I have to agree with Milo,,, I have seen this issue, usually when the operator slams the right door closed after a jam. The loop on the door jumps over the fuser pressure engagement mechanism, and the clamping pressure is not applied between the fixing film and the pressure roller. Advise against slamming the door and ensure the tension spring pushes well enough against the loop that engages the white release mechanism...

how is the power situation there. If your power fluctutates then you will have fusing issues.Have you plugged into raw power or has a servo stabiliser/cvt?
