    C4080

I had this last call today with a iRC4008 jamming while doing duplexing with legal paper size only. It does not jam with LTR size paper whether it single pass or duplex. Jam code is 010A. It was almost the end of the day and I was there for 30 minutes trying to figure this one out but my brain was exhausted already for the day. I will go back tommorow morning and try to figure this one out. But has anyone had this jam code, Im sure its something simple.

If the jammed sheet is folded, I would consider the duplex motor. I had those exact symptoms with a 3200.

Will check that motor and belt. There is no folding. The paper stops short of delivery. As i mention there is no problem duplexing with LTR just legal.

Yea Im aware of that. The sensor checked out fine, I pretty much blew out everything around that area yesterday. I'm going to the site after I finish up some paper work at my office. I will double check those sensors that you mention, I'm sure i will find something. Thank guys.

I checked the manuals-looks like duplex motor has been beefed up from the 3200. However, I had the same situation and replacing the motor worked. Would only jam at lgl, ltr r.

Another suggestion would be warpage. This model isn't as prone as the fuser seems cooler, however I've also seen where lgl, ltr r paper feed issues where ltr is no concern.

    Good luck-please post results

    Problem solved

There was a connector that was not seated fully by FM5 which is the delivery cooling fan that cools paper for delivery that's by the fixing assy. As I starated to look at the history from the last call, which was two weeks ago. The fixing unit was replaced by a fellow tech. So I started checking out that area and pulled off the black cover that goes over the fixing motor and I notice that the connector was slightly bulged out. I snapped it in and for the hell of it I tried printing a duplex copy with lgl and it came out. I called my fellow tech and I let him hear it..LOL

Very interesting. Had a 4080 jamming ldg only at vert delivery-swapped assemblies at customers office with success-tried the original assembly here at the shop-worked perfect. Thinking same situation.
