    Canon C1 Warm up Problem

    We had a Error codeE0012-0001
    ITB
    and E007-0201

went into service mode to ck errors

first it printed from the bins fine.
The bypass was where the jam was but
    we know this mach well.
cleared the jam, spun the drum,
This is the first time it just stays at "printer is warming up"
and ready to print the color server page.
We leave it for 1/2 hr and still stays the same.

If there was a heater prob on the ITB or the fuser the error code would show.
We unplugged it for 10 min and start up with no errors
    just stays at warm up

could it be the fuser roll heater?
its not getting hot, a little warm
We did a while back replace the fuser roll
but the heater was just fine

    Got me stumped.............reset somewhere?
    any help on this one

Check the fixing/feeding drawer connector for jammed paper.

    Thanks,
The C1 at pwr up just goes into printer warmup and stays there
I did ck the heater element and the therms.
even looked at the wall connectors on the pull out assy.

There is no heat at all
there is no error codes at all .
if there was a therm bad there would be a code.
usually any type of malfunction shows errors.

There is a AC control block for shorted triacs.
    dont think its that.
this copier has less that 80K.
all the heaters on fuser assy nada.
I cked for any jams front to back.

it will clean the wires "clicking"
just the first part of the seq start up with no heat.

The fixing feed drawer ? hmmmm

this was working without any probs untill the jams in the front end.
    The ITB errors were cleared.

we cleared them ,them got a few ITB errors but its like a switch was just turned off.

Somethings not letting the heaters come on.
but no errors on start up.

even unplugged it for a while.
there is no reset that I can find anywhere.
almost like a fuse went out but where?

You really think its a jam? somewhere without a code?

    any help is much appr.
    thanks guys.

E012-0001 is a drum and ITB motor error.
(Activation of photosensitive drum, photosensitive drum cleaner, intermediate transfer unit). Is the drum rotating? Check M2.
Parts check MTR>2. Which error code is more persisted 12 or 7..

Do you have a finisher connected?

Finisher is saddle book and punch.
The error code does not even come up
pulled the drum assy and ck the itb.
    look ok.
    I can spin them

What happens is you first turn it on.
it boots up and goes to the display with "printer warming up{"
    and just stays at that.

Normally you can hear the heaters and gets up to temp and then goes into
the cycle of turning all the drum/rollers and such.

there are protection diagrams of AC pcb that look as if they DO control
    the heaters.
Cked all the Thermo's and heat elements.

looked at all the doors and no errors on the startup at all.
nothing heats up on the fuser assy.
the 2 elements one on top small roll and the fuser drum OK.

Trying to give you all that I have cked.

This thing just stopped after the last jam on the bypass feeder.

I think its in the AC relay protect circut or something is not getting reset.
    Nothing burned no bad conn.

Its as if I am missing something simple.

The heaters and the driver PCB?
no fuse that I can find (should be)
the whole heat system seems to be on sleep mode
just not getting the sig to ON.
nothing in the service mode to "turn on" or bypass.

just strange that in the startup there is no error on the heater
    assy and stays cold.

what in the circut could stop the heaters from coming ON?
I and going thru all of the service manual and see the diag.
    of the heat circut............loooong day.
thanks for your interest in helping.

I dont usually post unless i get a good one.

    Symptom
UI displays " warming up " continually and never comes to ready.

    Action
It has been found that replacing the fixing/feeding drawer connector resolved the problem. FM2-2622-000 figure 320 item 24 in parts catalog.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Symptom
UI displays Warming Up but the fixing heaters never turn on. Display > Analog shows fixing temps dropping to room temperature.

    Action
Check continuity on J4002 pins 2 and 4 of the DC Power Relay PCB.

You guys sure can walk the walk,
Thats what I will look into asap.
I can fix pcb's down to component level If I have to
being my background in electronics It makesme nutz to
just start replacing boards(most of the time you have to these days
the surface mounts are a bitch)

I know that I am in the right place here just from your response.
The service manuals are light on when you need to get into this level.
Most of the time it ends up on the service mgr's desk
with all of his tech notes and there is usually nothing published from the mfgr.

The connectors on the "wall" and the drawer look brand new inside and out
could be just (1) conn in the pins that would do it, I know that.
    from constant shoving in/out.
It would be the top one right on the fuser side with 6 big pins and a multi pin next to it in one connector. (looking for the parts manual now)

We cleaned up the shop and that disk is somewhere. keep looking.

    HMMMM I know I had that .
Do you guyz have one I could Dl?

OR is there a more detailed in depth manual?
just asking cuz we do all the service.
    Thank you for your help

Re: Canon C1 Warm up Problem

    hello people.

i heave read all posts but no one says what happen then fixed they problem or not.

    i just want to say.

if someone still heave this problem, its Fault of Manual Feed door's open close sensor. some wire are damaged. in your case it can be front door sensor also. it's indicates door open close status but not working fully. check this two sensor. 100% working solution.

    thanks.
