    Smile Need Help Canon GP405

    i have a canon GP405 copier facing this problem. it takes long time to start running the scanning lamp after u press the start button. The lamp will on and stay at home position waiting around 10 sec then it started to scan. For those who is coping books, it take such a long time to finish a book. can someone expert out there tell me actually what problem is happen? Thanks.................

    More specifically, the machine is having difficulty self-adjusting the lamp intensity to the desired level. Yes the lamp heater may have covered the sensor opening partially. Or you could have a bad lamp, inverter, or lamp heater.
