    4570 with 0108 jams

I have a 4570 which is starting to really annoying me. it gets an 0108 jam first thing in the morning on the very first copy i have gone through all the service adjustments to combat curl, replaced everything to do with the paper feed from the cassette paperfeed unit all the way to the finisher exit rollers. and it still does it. they use wb mason paper and im leaning towards a humidity issue with it. i have one more idea and that is just to give them 2 reams of quality paper to see if that stops the issue. anyone have any other ideas?

Might be worth trying some cassette heaters in that machine
We had a iRC2880 that did something simlar, and but the humidity was very high (Getting to 60%)
and there was no air flow within the room, (That bad that the staff was wearing coats during the summer)

We fitted tray heaters and not heard anything since

Either that or advise your customer to but some cheap humidifiers :-)

    I agree with Coling.

    FC5-0693-000 x2 should solve your 0108 problems.

I agree also. This has gotten me at first. I rip them off.
You however mention replacing certain items for the paper feed
Section. Can you describe some of the item.

If your living in connecticut, its winter over there the air should be dry.

High humidity is usually in the summer time. That my two cents.

Yup pads are usually the culprit. If you press down on that black diverter/flapper for a few seconds and then try gently pressing up on it and it sticks or gives any resistance pull the pads or replace them. Also, with 0108 pull the black delivery idler rollers if you have an internal finisher. They are the ones in the middle with springs just as paper leaves delivery area and enters finisher inlet guide. Pair of needle nose from where you slid the finisher out of should do the trick. Also, check the diverter that swings out above fixing assy. If the black diverter/flapper there does not move freely or is popped out of socket that is a problem. Good luck, post results.
