Help settle a "BET" (Steak Dinner)
At a Xmas party, another copier tech friend and I have a "BET" (Steak Dinner) on canon "V toner" and starter.
heres what the "BET" about.
The canon V7000 series CYMK toner/starter
and the canon C1 & C1+ series CYMK toner/starter (not the clear)
1 The part #'s are of course different
2 They both use the "V toner"
3 The 7000 has 4 CYMK drums and the C1 & C1+ has 1
4 The starter and toner come in diff size containers for the 7000 and the C1 & C1+(same size)
(the 7000 has much larger containers)
This "BET" is about the fact that canon is not about to make a new toner/starter for each
copier that it sells and uses the "V toner", the cost would be over the top.
IE: HP and Canon ink jet and wide format use the same CYMK , PM & PC, MK &PK inks for a lot of their wide format (not gray)
printers and even the desktops!
We know this and it has been tested and confirmed
I have had customers even SHOW me how they "refill" their HP's smaller ink carts and run them just fine
with the colors matching (how much do they pay for these Ink carts to their small desktops?)
(side note, the 7000 does have great solid black and faster, color seperation is at each drum
C1 & C1+ combines all colors on(1) drum much slower )
This is just for fun
