Easiest answer would be to reload system software to latest level, choosing English version only. Or ,,, you could take a course on Japanese
Additional functions > Common Settings > Language Switch> Select English (or language of your choice)
My friends , I was able to solve the problem without learning Japanese or reinstalling SST. It was thru Service Mode, in which was the same way that I got it to become japanese.

Reminds me of the time a buddy sold a Minolta to customer at a discount price. He set up the language for japanese and handed them a japanese to english translation book and told them they got it so cheap because it's in another language. You should have seen the look on their face before he told them he was kidding!
Service Mode is in english.
In it there is a mode to reset all histories of Service, Error, etc. inthat same page you can reset language in which I did by MISTAKE ( but of Screwtape it seem that NO ONE can make mistakes) you can reset back to english again thru that same page.
I may have to do this sometime to see what it looks like.
I thought another tech switched it!
That's what you said.
I make mistakes as well just not stupid ones.=impaqsol;125330] I have a Canon IR-C3200 copier one of the tech's change the language to chinese or japanese
