iR C3220 full auto gradation adjustment problem

while trying to perform full auto gradation adjustment

the machine will print out the 1st test print

same procedure, I place the first test print face down on the platen glass
with the black bands to the back.

but when I press the start scan, this error message will come out

Correctly place the test print on the platen glass.

    any ideas?

    thanks!

Try auto gradation from a different paper tray. If the message clears, check the tray alignment of the paper tray that failed. Correct the alignment of the tray if needed. If message does not clear, run a P-Print and perform an RCON clear. Then load RCON back in from P-print

Check your ADJ-XY values on the sheet that's on the door.
Make sure those are set up correctly. Tried doing a CCD adjust as well.

Hi guys, been quite busy...I put the machine on 1 side first because we got a lot of pending machines .
so far here is the blow by blow account.

@smiley: tried to clean the reader unit, optical area
    result : failed

@teckat: tried on a different tray - failed
print p-print, clear rcon, keyin configs - failed
clear controller ram - keyin configs - failed
format HDD, reinstall system softwares - failed

    @smiley: yup, ADJ-XY is ok,
alignment is pretty good. I've done the CCD as well
    but still no luck.

but i clean 1st the optic before i do ccd adjustment.its just be at the optics nothing to do with the printer unit.why dont you try printer ram clear at factory mode.and run auto grad after it.

    ok! here is the fix=
your test print from auto gradation registration is off a bit/ look at that print ,the CCD must read the correct pattern position from it =could be cross-feed or paper feed issue/if that auto gradation print image is shifted it wont scan right ,check if your ITB assembly belt is probably shifting a bit / check that Grid test print> PG6

also try this= move the test print down a little from top of glass/see what happens
