    Sucks to be you!
    Before you upgraded, was the machine working, besides the scanning issue.
    Do you have the earlier firmware you upgraded from. Try downgrading to see if its the firmware.

    This model has procedures u need to follow when upgrading FIRMWARE from, different Versions60/63/65.
    if not followed u will have issues.

    if u revert to an older Ver.follow>
    On Ver.60.03 u need to follow this first:
    Upgrade Procedures:
    1. [1] Using the Service Support Tool, upgrade the BootROM to ver.60.03
    Note: Before using System Software v60.03, make sure to install the BootROM ver.60.03 first.
    2. Make sure to turn OFF and ON the main power between each download.
    3. Using Service Support Tool, install System Software ver.60.03.
    4. Turn off and on the device power.

    Upgrading When the Optional ROM is installed:
    When installing the following option, the optional ROM (32MB) included in the package must be installed.
    Installation of the optional ROM enables the controller to operate on the firmware of the optional ROM.
    Therefore, when installing the optional ROM, be sure to check the versions of the main controller, Boot ROM,
    and optional ROM, and when the versions do not match, upgrade the version using the Service Support Tool to
    match them.
    Options in which the optional ROM is included in the package:
    - PCL Printer Kit-M1
    Importing/Exporting User Data
    - If using service mode (SSSW>SYSTEM SW>SW03), connect the USB cable.
    - If using the RUI (set initial settings>import/export), connect the network cable.

    Make sure the NETWORK settings are shown in the Users Data List + in SPEC REPORT it should list NETWORK ON

    If not make sure the interface connectors are seated firm between LAN BOARD and the Main Board

    No RUI

    I know I'm a little late on this thread, but has anybody found a solution for this problem? I've experienced it on a 1023if this week and was unable to get the RUI to stay online for longer than a minute or two.

    I updated system software (ver.67.01) = no change

    I cleared all = no change

    Everything else works fine. Printing, faxing, copying and scanning-to-email work fine.

    the original poster resolved it by reloading the firmware which you have already tried.

    you may want to clear the temporary web files of the browser on the computer that has given the page expired notice. Once the temporary files are deleted, you may try to launch the RUI again
    Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

    The following changes occur when upgrading the System of the imageRUNNER 1023/ 1023N/ 1023iF copiers from v66.01.01 to v67.01.01:
    <Supplementary information>
    If "OK" appears on the touch panel display of the main unit, data transfer has been completed by overwriting the ROM.
    <Points to note>
    (1) If upgrading from an older version to v60.03 (or later), the BOOT area is increased.
    At the same time, the SYSTEM writing start address (FLASH-ROM) is changed.
    The SYSTEM writing start address is included in the BOOT v60.03 and later, so after BOOT has
    completed downloading, turn OFF and ON the power, so that the new SYSTEM writing start address is
    reflected.
    Upgrade procedures
    <Without options>
    1. Overwrite BOOT.
    2. Check that "OK" appears on the touch panel display. Then, turn OFF and ON the power manually.
    (Download mode starts.)
    3. Overwrite SYSTEM.
    <With OPT16MB>
    1. Overwrite BOOT.
    2. Check that "OK" appears on the touch panel display. Then, turn OFF and ON the power manually.
    (Download mode starts.)
    3. Overwrite OPT16.
    4. Check that "OK" appears on the touch panel display. Then, turn OFF and ON the power manually.
    (Download mode starts.)
    5. Overwrite SYSTEM.
    <With OPT32MB>
    1. Overwrite BOOT.
    2. Check that "OK" appears on the touch panel display. Then, turn off and on the power manually.
