Make sure that the toner slide on the drum is latched forward toward the front of the machine, or the drum will be starved out quickly, and possible toner auger damage could occur from the backup.

E 0020-0020>error code indicates that the patch level is lower than the lower limit of the target although the setting is at the maximum when initializing cyan ATR.

did u try cleaning the Dust Proof Glass
or u may have to do a D
CON clear followed immediately by a full auto gradtion adjustment.

I am having the issue but with E020-0023. I know what the code means as I do have the manual but the thing is that I replaced the black drum for copy quality and then I got the code. I then read the little paper in the drum box and it said that if you get this code to take the drum out and shake (roll over) about 12 times. Did that but still got the code. Last resort was to put old drum back in, WooHoo no code. Okay maybe defective drum right? Returned next day with a new drum (different lot number) same e code. MMI clear, DCcon clear, MNcont clear, power cycle copier E990 code! Gutted process unit cleaned EVERYTHING reseated connectors put it back together fire it up with new drum in it ...E020-0023!! Put old nasty looking drum back in NO CODE. Any help would be very much appreciated.

E020-0023/ ATR issue/ I would back all orig service data numbers back in

my friend sent me this adjustment he has used with success on E020 new Drum issues in 3380/

In Level 2- Adjust the P-INTVL ATR batch interval setting:
This is used when the E020 error occurs frequently. The trackability can be improved by increasing
                the ATR frequency.
ATR execution timing at "0" setting: Once every 25 sheets when sheets of A4 size paper are printed
with a density of less than 25%
                Setting range
                -2 to 2 (in 25% increments)
[Factory setting/value after clearing RAM: 0]

E990 0000 Shown on the Display

                Workaround :
When the locking Handle for the Process Assembly is turned to the locked position it re-positions a rack that opens the Waste Toner Shutters. When the rack is in the correct position there is a cutout in the rack that unblocks PS12, if the sensor remains blocked an E990 0000 will be generated.

Remove the Hopper Drive Assembly and the Hopper Assembly . With those items removed you will see a white nylon gear plate with 2 locking screws. Loosen the locking screws and position the gear plate so that when the handle is in the locked position, the cutout in the rack unblocks PS 12. (See photo below)

O.K. I am embarassed now, really don't want to post but oh well here it goes. When I said that I cleaned EVERTHING I ment in the processing unit. The blue "magic wand" was missing from this unit and unfortunately for me I totally spaced and forgot about the slit glasses (bummer). I did the adjustment before my memory kicked in and that didn't help my issue. Then I remembered and shoved my little foam paint brush in the slots for the slit glasses on the laser units and HAPPY DAYS for me. Thanks again for all the great help teckat once again you made me look better than I did for myself. Next time I am staying at the beach!
